go
north on Highway 78;
turn right on Hwy 898
and follow to Ivanhoe. In
Ivanhoe turn left
on Country Road 2040;
follow for 1 mile, then turn
right on 2041.

Gabe and Barbara Parker established Homestead
Winery on the Parker homestead in Ivanhoe, Texas, and also operate a Wine
Tasting room in Denison, Texas. The vineyard was planted in 1983 and the winery
bonded in 1989. The Parker’s carryon a one hundred years of farming a tradition
started by Gabe’s grandfather in 1880. The winery produces several premium
quality wines, which are hand crafted to respond to Texan’s taste. Winemaking is
under the direction of Dr. Roy Mitchell. Winery tours are offered on special
occasions (please contact the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce (903) 583-4811) or

NV White Rose – Dry, elegant wine: soft finish.
97 Fume' Blanc - Classic "white smoke" nose; rich elegant taste;
dry.
NV Rose of Ivanhoe - Hearty Italian Style: Semi-Sweet, very user
friendly
NV Homestead Red - Dry red wine; full bodied.
96 Merlot - soft full-bodied red wine; hint of cherry; dry; smooth
finish.
95 Cabernet Sauvignon - Unfiltered; Full Bodied smooth Cab; lots
of fruit
97 Muscat Canelli - Sweet (6% Residual Sugar); honeysuckle nose.
NV Blush - Semi-Sweet (2%); Strawberry nose and taste; ultimate
fun wine
Sherry - Fortified cream sherry; sweet; strong flavors of nuts.
